It’s graduation season, a time to celebrate the closing of a chapter in your life. More importantly, it’s also the time to begin a new chapter, as you prepare to head off to college in the fall. In keeping with this week’s celebrations, we wanted to offer you eight of our favorite quotes for high school graduates. We hope these inspire you as you embark upon a life-changing journey.

Your imagination is your preview of life’s coming attractions. — Albert Einstein
It is often said that we are only limited by our own imaginations. If you have a dream, go for it! You were given that imagination for a reason.
What sculpture is to a block of marble, education is to the human soul. — Joseph Addison
The purpose of education is not to create millions of students who all think, believe, and act alike. Allow your education to shape you into something beautiful and unique, much like a sculpture is shaped from a block of plain marble. Your education will enrich your soul.
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind. — Dr. Seuss
As you continue to grow older, you will learn that those who stand in your corner will always be there. So don’t be afraid to become the person you were meant to be.
If you think you are too small to be effective, you have never been in the dark with a mosquito. — Betty Reese
Everyone feels small sometimes, but never underestimate the power of persistence.
When you take risks, you learn that there will be times when you succeed and there will be times when you fail, and both are equally important. — Ellen DeGeneres
There is just as much to be learned from failure, as there is from success! We will all face disappointment at times, but if you can learn to look for the lesson in every failure, then you have still learned and grown from the experience.
Opportunity does not knock, it presents itself when you beat down the door. — Kyle Chandler
Don’t wait for great opportunities to come your way; go out and find them!
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. — Steve Jobs
Identify what you want to do, and go for it. There is no satisfaction to be gained by accomplishing goals that aren’t valuable to you. As you head off to college, we hope you’ve decided what truly matters regarding your education and career. But if not, don’t worry; stick with core classes at first, explore a few electives that appeal to you, and a path will present itself in time.
Congratulations on your accomplishments in high school, and best of luck in your future endeavors.
