When our regular routines resume after spring break, we’ll have about two months left in the school year. Yes, “spring fever” might begin to hit you hard, and you can’t wait until summer. But instead of tuning out and wishing for time to go by faster, use this two months to finish up the year on a high note. It’s time you can’t get back, so make the most of it by…
Pulling your grades up. Unless you have earned grades of 100 in every class, there is always room for improvement. Every grade you earn throughout the year counts equally; it’s not like grades at the beginning of the year are more important. So continue to earn the highest grades possible, and you’ll thank yourself one day when you graduate with a terrific GPA.
Working slowly and steadily. If you have big papers or projects due at the end of the semester, get started on them now! Procrastinating will add stress to your final weeks of school, and you won’t enjoy your last days at school nearly as much.
Avoiding stress. Aside from not procrastinating, continue to work on other methods to effectively manage stress. You might be feeling pretty chill right now, due to spring break, but finals will be here before you know it.
Turning off your phone. No, you don’t have to turn it off forever! Just take the opportunity to silence it during recess, pep rallies, lunch… Any social opportunity will be more enriching and rewarding if you view it in real time, rather than through a screen.
Making memories. As much as you can’t wait for the school year to be over, high school really will be remembered as some of the most fun times of your life. So take the time to make memories that last! Take pictures with your friends, sign everyone’s yearbooks, attend school functions, and reach out to a loner to make a new friend. When you take the initiative to branch out a bit, you never know what experiences lie around the next corner!
